*Rentals have a $100.00 deposit that will be refunded if canoes and PFD’s are not damaged.

*Rentals have a $200 damage deposit plus a $100 key deposit for set of keys requested.

IS THIS A GOOD SPOT FOR BEGINNERS?
Pitt Lake is a tidal lake, and therefore affected by tides and waves created by nearby boats. We would recommend that you have some basic canoe experience before attempting to cross Pitt Lake on your way to Widgeon Creek. Please note that even for expert paddlers our canoes are restricted to Widgeon Creek.
What should I bring to Xwum [kw-ah-m]?
There are some parts of Widgeon Creek that have low tides, and you may need to get out of the canoe to pull it over the sand bards. Please do not just paddle over, as this can scrape the bottom of the canoe which will result in the loss of your deposit.
You do not need to bring a life jacket/ PFD as we will supply one for you and all your passengers.
